About this role

To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-11 Federal grade level or above evaluating the operations of an office to measure effectiveness and organizational productivity, recommending improvement processes, and providing support for centralized administrative activities for an organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skill and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time in Grade: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements (one year at the next lower grade) by the closing date of announcement.
